DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY
How does someone grow as a disciple?
Anyone who is serious about exploring the Christian faith has some interest in what it means to grow as a disciple. After all, Jesus told us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28.19) and to ‘make’ a disciple, we presumably first have to be one.
Christians have always known that there are steps we can take that will help us become more faithful in our walk with Jesus. (It's important to add that none of this about becoming 'good enough' or earning God's love, but learning to see things as God sees them and living more and more out of the new life that Jesus won for us on the cross.)
Here are eight key themes that are important as we learn to follow Jesus:
Are you excited about coming closer to God? If so, you are invited to explore the discipleship pathway.
The link below will take you to a discipleship questionnaire that will help you discover which themes you are strong in and which have the greatest potential for growth and development. There are 56 questions in total and we recommend that you go through them one by one taking as much time as you need for each. This is a self assessment tool, so there are no right or wrong answers; just be honest and go with what feels like the most appropriate response.
On completing the questionnaire you will be given a score for each of the themes. Click on the one with the lowest number and you will be directed to a page with the most relevant suggestions and resources to help you grow and develop as a disciple. (And from there you'll also be able to explore all of the other themes.)
