At Melton Vineyard we are passionate about our children being part of a church community where they can grow and be nurtured. We want to
create a safe place where they feel they belong and where they can create good friendships with each other and grow in relationship with
Jesus. We have an amazing Young Vineyard team who get to see the change that Jesus is making in the lives of the children and we are

Role description
Gather and grow teams for Young Vineyard groups and reach out into the community with children and family events. Plan a Young Vineyard programme for Sundays that encourages the children to develop a personal faith in Jesus.

Due to the central nature of this role to the working of the Church, the key responsibility for developing a Christian curriculum for the children and young people, and participation at our staff prayer meetings, it is a genuine occupational requirement that the role holder is a Christian, and (from a practical perspective) also a participating member of Melton Vineyard Church.

  • Develop and maintain a strategy for attracting and assimilating new children and families
  • Oversee safeguarding procedures in Young Vineyard and report to the Designated Safeguarding lead. Ensure that the safer recruitment process and DBS checks are carried out on all team members.
