Who We Are
Melton Vineyard is a Christian church and registered charity based in Melton, made up of people who follow Jesus from the town, the borough and beyond. Neal Swettenham and Eluned Owen are the Senior Pastors, working with a leadership team of more than 20 people. They are married with three grown-up children and both work part-time as drama lecturers.
To find out a bit more about us you could take a look at our vision and values (below) or just browse the website to get a feel for the kinds of things we get up to. The best way to get to know us, though, is to come along to one of our Sunday morning services or visit us during the week at our town centre base, the source.
Vineyard is a worldwide movement with churches in more than 60 countries, and just over a hundred congregations in the UK.
Vision and values
We believe that God is at work in every individual’s life, and we love to recognise, develop and celebrate that.
We want to be, and encourage others to be, committed followers of Jesus: responsive to his teaching, relational in all that we do, and imaginatively and compassionately engaged with the world around us.
We want to be a church where imperfect people feel perfectly welcome, where worship and prayer are at the heart of everything, and where people can experience God’s love and power, without hype and at their own pace.
The bottom line? To take the Christian message of the love of God to everyone and anyone we can, without bias.
